Who Mevotech is
Mevotech is a chassis parts maker based in Toronto, Ontario, and in business since 1982. Its tagline is "Engineered For Technicians," and it calls itself "an engineering house first." Mevotech says it holds 13 patented chassis technologies and has brought more than a thousand first-to-market parts. Its main products are control arms, ball joints, stabilizer links, tie rod ends and wheel hub assemblies.
Mevotech is best known for control arms. Most of what we carry from the brand is complete arms that bolt in with the bushings, and often the ball joint, already in place.

How to choose between Mevotech grades
Mevotech sells three grades. Here is how its own site describes them:
Original Grade
Mevotech says Original Grade parts "meet and exceed OE design specifications for fit, form and function." It is the budget way to put a worn car back to factory spec. Pick it for an older daily driver you plan to keep a few more years. We only list six Original Grade control arms, at $109 to $145.
Supreme
Supreme is "designed with application-specific upgrades" and, in Mevotech's words, is "ideal for daily drivers and fleet applications." This is the grade most people should buy, and it is the line we list for the most vehicles. Many Supreme control arms on our store include the ball joint and bushings, so one part replaces everything that usually wears out on the arm.
TTX
TTX stands for Terrain Tough Extreme. Mevotech says TTX parts are "built for high usage vehicles, such as fleets and working trucks" and are engineered "to be the strongest, most durable parts in the market." Pick TTX for a truck that tows, plows or carries weight every day. Most of our Mevotech ball joints are TTX.
Telling the grades apart by part number
On our store, Supreme part numbers start with CMS, CMK, MS, MK, SMS, MB or H, TTX numbers start with TX or CTX, and Original Grade numbers start with GS or G. A few listings carry a grade name that does not match this pattern, so if the grade matters to you, go by the part number and check it against Mevotech's catalog.
Complete arm vs ball joint only
If your arm has a pressed-in ball joint and the bushings are still good, a ball joint alone is cheaper. If the bushings are cracked too, or the joint is not serviceable, a complete arm saves time and usually costs only a little more. If you are not sure what is worn, see our guide to bad ball joint symptoms.
Fitment coverage
About 63 of our 107 Mevotech control arms name a make in the description. These come up most:
| Make named in listing | Control arms | Price range |
|---|---|---|
| Toyota and Lexus | 12 | $91 to $202 |
| Dodge, Ram, Jeep and Chrysler | 12 | $89 to $213 |
| GM: Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Cadillac, Pontiac | 11 | $95 to $284 |
| Honda and Acura | 10 | $83 to $205 |
| Nissan and Infiniti | 7 | $112 to $299 |
| Ford and Lincoln | 6 | $137 to $211 |
| Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Subaru | 6 | $91 to $180 |
Control arms are side- and position-specific, so match upper or lower, front or rear and left or right. The rest of our listings show only the part number, so look up the Mevotech number for your vehicle and match it to our title. A lowered or lifted vehicle may need adjustable arms instead; see our control arms collection.
Mevotech vs other brands we carry
Mevotech vs Moog. Moog is the closest match. Moog has far more listings with us, more steering linkage parts and more older trucks. Prices are close: our Mevotech ball joints run $81 to $127 and Moog's run $83 to $181. If both list your vehicle, compare the features in each listing.
Mevotech vs Dorman. We also carry Dorman control arms at $28 to $298. They are a lower-cost option for some vehicles. Compare them in control arms.
Install notes
- Most Mevotech control arms are sold one per listing. Replace both sides if both are worn.
- Tighten bushing bolts with the vehicle at ride height so the bushings are not preloaded.
- Get an alignment after replacing control arms, ball joints or tie rod ends.
- Warranty terms are set by each brand.
