How to choose

The Colorado uses independent front suspension, so front lift is limited by CV axle and control arm angles. A 1 to 2 inch leveling kit removes the factory rake and makes room for a slightly larger tire with little change to ride. Above about 2.5 inches in front, CV axles wear faster and alignment gets harder, which is why most kits here stay in the 1 to 3 inch range.

For a full lift, pair a front lift with a rear add-a-leaf or block. The 2 inch front and 1 inch rear kits keep a little rake so the truck still sits level with gear in the bed. Spring kits like the Eibach Pro-Truck and Pro-Lift replace the front springs and raise the truck while keeping travel close to stock, and the ICON 1.75-3 inch Stage 1 system adds adjustable coilovers. On ZR2 and AT4X trucks, a preload spacer adjusts the factory coilover instead of replacing it.

Leveling kit or lift kit for a Colorado?
