How to choose
A leveling kit raises the front of the truck to cancel the factory rake, usually 1.5 to 2.5 inches. On coil spring trucks this is done with a strut or coil spacer, which keeps the stock spring and shock, so ride quality stays close to factory. The tradeoff is geometry: the control arms and CV axles run at steeper angles, so stay near the kit's stated height and get an alignment afterward.
If you want the whole truck taller, a complete kit such as the MaxTrac 2.5 inch front and 1.5 inch rear setups lifts both ends while keeping some rake for towing and hauling. Trucks with Ram's air suspension cannot use spacers. They need a kit built for air ride, like the Rough Country 2 inch kits for 2019-2023 air suspension trucks. Plan tire size around the new height and your wheel offset rather than the lift number alone.

Is the Air Lift Loadlifter 5000 a leveling kit?
It levels the truck under load, not at rest. The Loadlifter adds rear air springs that you inflate to stop the back from squatting when towing or hauling, on 2002-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 trucks. It does not raise the front.
Can I level a Ram 1500 with factory air suspension?
Yes, but only with a kit designed for air ride. Strut spacers listed as excluding air ride models will not work on those trucks.
