Who ISR Performance is
ISR Performance is a sport compact aftermarket brand. Its website describes the company as a maker of "high quality products for the sport compact aftermarket" and says it uses years of on-track testing to balance affordability and quality. Its catalog runs well beyond suspension, into exhausts, intercoolers, brakes and power steering lines, and its vehicle pages center on Nissan, Subaru, Toyota, Mazda, Hyundai and the FR-S/BRZ.
On a suspension store, ISR is best known in the drift scene: arms, rods and solid bushings for the Nissan S-chassis and Z cars at prices that leave room in the budget for tires. That is what most of our ISR catalog is.

How to choose between ISR's lines
Street Series vs Pro Series arms
ISR sells many arms in two versions. On our store, Street Series parts for the 350Z and 370Z cost $146.30 to $250.80, such as rear traction rods at $146.30 and rear toe arms at $167.20. On the 240SX, Pro Series versions cost more than the standard ones, for example the 240SX rear upper arm at $146.30 standard and $229.90 Pro Series, and the 240SX rear toe rods at $125.40 standard and $182.88 Pro Series. Pick the Street Series or standard version for a street car that needs alignment range, and the Pro Series version when the car sees regular track or drift use and you want the upgraded build.
Pro Series coilovers
ISR's Pro Series coilovers are $1,039.78 for most cars on our store and $1,094.50 for the BMW E36 and 2008-up STI. A retailer listing for the STI kit describes 32-way damping, a monotube body and front pillowball camber mounts, with 8K front and 10K rear springs on that car. Several of our titles show the spring rates, such as 8k/6k for the 240SX and 300ZX. They are an entry point into adjustable coilovers for a drift or track build.
Bushings and lockout kits
Solid subframe and differential bushings remove slop under power, but they add noise and vibration. They suit dedicated drift and track cars more than daily drivers. Eccentric lockout kits ($52.25 to $83.60) replace the factory eccentric adjusters, which suits cars that run adjustable arms.
Fitment coverage
| Chassis | ISR listings | Price range | Our car page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nissan 240SX S13/S14 | 26 | $26.13 to $1,039.78 | 240SX suspension |
| Nissan 350Z / Infiniti G35 | 12 | $52.25 to $1,039.78 | 350Z and G35 suspension |
| Nissan 370Z / Infiniti G37 | 10 | $62.70 to $1,039.78 | 370Z and G37 suspension |
| Hyundai Genesis Coupe | 10 | $83.60 to $1,039.78 | Genesis Coupe suspension |
| Infiniti Q50 / Q60 | 3 | $245.58 | Q50 suspension |
| Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ | 3 | $151.53 to $1,039.78 | GR86, BRZ and FR-S suspension |
| BMW E36 | 3 | $114.95 to $1,094.50 | BMW E36 suspension |
Some parts fit more than one chassis, such as the rear camber arms for the 350Z, G35 and 370Z, so counts overlap slightly. Single coilover kits also cover the 1990 to 1998 Miata, RX-7 FC3S, 300ZX Z32, Skyline R32 GTS-T and 2008-up STI.
Install notes
Arms and rods are bolt-on work with basic hand tools on a lift or jack stands. Set each adjustable arm to the length of the part it replaces before install so the car can be driven to an alignment shop. Solid subframe bushings are a bigger job because the subframe has to be dropped. Whatever you change, finish with an alignment.
ISR compared with alternatives we carry
Megan Racing is the closest match. We list 34 Megan Racing parts for the 240SX, 350Z and Genesis Coupe, from $60 tension rod braces to $213 rear arms, so Megan is often a little cheaper for the same type of part. ISR's advantage is the Street and Pro Series choice on many parts and a deeper range of S-chassis bits like solid bushings and power steering lines. For coilovers, Godspeed coilovers are the budget alternative with wider fitment. See our best coilovers guide for more options.
Warranty terms are set by each brand.
