Who FactionFab is
FactionFab sells coilovers, brakes, wheel accessories, drivetrain mounts and exhaust parts. Its site describes the brand as affordable coilovers, steering wheels and exterior and interior mods for the Subaru WRX, STI and Ford F-150. FactionFab is best known in the Subaru world for its coilover range and its V2 brake pads and rotors. Its coilovers come in three lines: F-Spec, FL-Spec and FR-Spec.
We carry 15 FactionFab coilover kits. That covers nearly every WRX and STI generation since 2002, plus the twins, but no FactionFab brakes or other parts yet.

How to choose between FactionFab lines
F-Spec: comfort first
FactionFab calls F-Spec its comfort coilover. Softer springs and 32 damping settings give a near-stock ride on the soft end, with a mild drop range that keeps shock travel. We list it for the 2002-2007 WRX, 2004 STI and 2004-2008 Forester only.
V2 FL-Spec: the all-rounder
FactionFab calls the FL-Spec its best all-around coilover. It has the biggest height range of the three, with up to 4 in of independent adjustment on most cars, so you can sit near stock or very low. The rubber-isolated pillowball mounts cut noise while still letting you adjust front camber. Pick FL-Spec for a daily driver that sees the odd autocross or track day.
V2 FR-Spec: built for the track
FR-Spec uses stiffer springs and solid aluminum pillowball mounts that reduce deflection. FactionFab gives it a mild drop range to keep shock travel and fluid volume for consistent performance. Expect more noise and a firmer ride on the street.
What else you'll need
- A four-wheel alignment after install, with front camber set using the FL-Spec or FR-Spec camber plates
- Adjustable rear sway bar end links if you lower the car a lot
- Our coilover adjustment guide for setting height and damping
The kits include top hats and damping adjusters, so they bolt in as a direct replacement for the factory struts.
FactionFab vs alternatives we carry
Godspeed WRX and STI coilovers cost $750 to $2,400 on our store, and SF Racing kits run $995 to $1,795. Godspeed starts cheaper for a basic street kit. FactionFab's pitch is three clearly defined lines, so it is easy to pick by how you drive. Our WRX lowering springs guide covers the cheaper springs-only route.
