Collection: Mustang Coilovers, Lowering Springs & Suspension

Coilovers, lowering springs and control arms for the Ford Mustang, from the Fox Body and SN95 through the S197, S550 and 2024+ S650. Brands include SLR Speed, BMR Suspension, Eibach, Air Lift, SPL Parts, Apoc Industries, Strange, Godspeed and Megan Racing.

Choosing suspension for your Mustang

Mustang suspension changed a lot between generations. The Fox Body (1979-1993) and SN95 (1994-2004) use a solid rear axle with four-link rear control arms, the S197 (2005-2014) uses a three-link rear with a Panhard bar, and the S550 (2015-2023) and S650 (2024+) moved to independent rear suspension. Always check the generation and model (GT, GT350, GT500, Cobra) in the product title.

For drift builds, SLR Drift Spec and Drift Spec MAX coilovers are listed for Fox Body, SN95, Cobra, S197, GT500 and S550 cars. Eibach Pro-Kit and Sportline lowering springs are a simpler way to lower an S550 or 2024 Mustang on the factory dampers; check MagneRide compatibility before ordering. Air Lift Performance offers air-adjustable coilovers for the S197 and S550/S650, and Godspeed and Megan Racing coilovers are also listed.

BMR Suspension, Apoc Industries and SPL Parts control arms help with traction and alignment, and Strange strut coilover sleeve kits suit drag builds.

Mustang Coilovers, Lowering Springs & Suspension FAQ

Lowering springs or coilovers for my Mustang?
Lowering springs are the simpler, lower-cost way to drop the car on factory or upgraded dampers. Coilovers add adjustable ride height and, on many kits, adjustable damping.
Do lowering springs work with MagneRide?
Some springs are listed specifically for cars with or without MagneRide. Check the product title and fitment notes for your car's options before ordering.
Are S550 parts compatible with the 2024+ S650?
Not always. Some parts are listed for both and others for one generation only, so check the years in each product title.
Do I need an alignment after installing coilovers or control arms?
Yes. Plan on an alignment after any ride height or control arm change.
