Who Zona Motorsports is

Zona Motorsports is an off-road shop in Tucson, Arizona. The company says it designs and builds its suspension products in-house, using CAD design, CNC cutting and its own fabrication. Zona also runs a full-service installation and fabrication shop that builds everything from lift kits to custom prerunners and rock crawlers. It is best known for long travel kits and parts for Chevy and GMC 1500 trucks, along with Toyota, Ram and Ford parts.

Our Zona range is small: 18 live listings. It is mostly bolt-on arms and towers, plus raw fabrication parts for people building their own long travel setups.

Fitment coverage

Most of our Zona stock is for GM half-tons: the 1999-2006 GMT800, the 2007-2018 GMT900 and K2, and the 2019-2024 trucks. Browse more parts for those trucks on our Silverado and Sierra suspension page. For Toyota, we list the 2005-2023 Tacoma uniball arms and the Tacoma and 4Runner double shear kit, with more parts on our Tacoma and 4Runner page. Ram owners can find the RHO and TRX sensor kit here and more on our Ram 1500 suspension page.

How to choose between Zona parts

Bolt-on arms vs a long travel kit

Uniball upper control arms are the usual first step. They replace the factory upper arms, add clearance for bigger coilovers and fix ball joint angles on a lifted or leveled truck. They suit a truck at stock-width track with an aftermarket coilover. A long travel kit like the GMT800 J-arm race kit widens the front end and adds wheel travel. It is a much bigger job and is meant for prerunners and desert trucks.

Shock towers and gussets

Stand-alone shock towers add mounting for bigger shocks, and gusset tabs strengthen the lower control arm mounts. These are weld-on parts, so plan on a fabricator unless you weld yourself. The GMT800 tower comes in a standard pair and a single-shock version.

Fabrication bits

Shock tabs, perches, uniball spacers and limit strap mounts are raw parts for custom builds. Measure before you order: the uniball spacers come in 1 in and 1.5 in versions, both for a 3/4 in bolt.

What else you'll need

Uniball arms and long travel kits change front geometry, so get an alignment afterward. Check your ball joints, tie rod ends and brake lines too. Zona's own site lists extended brake lines for GM trucks. Our ball joint symptoms guide helps you check worn parts before the install.

Zona vs alternatives we carry

Camburg is the closest alternative. Its KINETIK upper control arm kits on our store cost $1,681.98 to $2,089.98 for the 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, Tundra and F-150. Zona's uniball arms cost $699.99 and cover GM 1500 trucks, which Camburg's arms on our store do not. For general arms, see our control arms collection.
