Collection: Chevy Camaro Coilovers

This page covers over 30 coilovers for the Chevy Camaro, from street kits for late-model cars to Ridetech HQ coilovers for classic builds. Yellow Speed Racing and Ridetech make up much of the range, with SF Racing, MaXpeedingrods, Pedders, SLR Speed, Megan Racing and Godspeed alongside.

Which generation do you have?

  • 1967-1969 first generation
  • 1970-1981 second generation
  • 1982-2002 third and fourth generation
  • 2010-2015 fifth generation, V6 and V8
  • 2016-2024 sixth generation

Late-model kits often differ by V6 or V8, and many exclude MagneRide or the ZL1. Classic Ridetech coilovers are sold front or rear and some are designed for Ridetech arms or 4-link. Match the years, engine, trim and position on each listing.

How to choose

Late-model and classic Camaros need different approaches. On a 2010 and later car, a coilover kit replaces the factory struts and shocks with height and damping adjustment. Check whether your car has MagneRide, since most kits here are for cars without it. V8 cars carry more weight over the nose, which is why several brands list V6 and V8 versions with different front rates.

Choose spring rates by use. Megan Racing lists its rates in the title, around 6 to 8 kg/mm front and 12 rear, showing how these cars run stiffer rear springs. Street kits keep softer rates, while track and drift spec kits run stiffer springs with more damping range. Camber plates, included with some Pedders and MaXpeedingrods kits, help set front camber after lowering. On a classic Camaro, Ridetech HQ coilovers usually form part of a wider upgrade with new control arms or a 4-link, so plan the whole system first.

Price range

Prices run from about $350 to around $2,430 for the most complete kits, with most sets near $1,100.

FAQ

Will these coilovers work with MagneRide?

Most kits here exclude MagneRide cars, and switching usually means disabling the system. Check each listing for its MagneRide note.

Do Firebird owners have options here?

Yes. Several Ridetech kits for 1967-2002 cars cover both the Camaro and Firebird, as the listing titles state.
