On the 1988-1996 Corvette, the rear strut rods help set camber at the back of the car. Worn bushings let camber move under load, which upsets the rear in fast corners and wears tires unevenly. SPF4643K renews those joints for C4 owners who drive their cars on back roads, at autocross or on track.

Bushings isolate the body from the suspension while keeping each component lined up. When they age out, the wheel can steer itself slightly over bumps and under load. New bushings cut down that unwanted movement, which helps tire wear and makes the car easier to place on the road.

Most owners do this job as part of a wider refresh, since the related parts are already apart. Clean the housings well before fitting the new parts, follow the maker's guidance on lubrication where it applies, and recheck bolt torque after the first few hundred miles.

Before you order: Chevrolet Corvette fitment and setup

Worn or soft bushings let the suspension move in ways it shouldn't. Fresh or firmer bushings on the Chevrolet Corvette make steering and braking feel more precise.

Plan the whole job

  • An alignment after installing new arms or bushings.
  • Matching parts at the other end. Upgrading one side or one link and leaving worn parts elsewhere limits the improvement.
  • Install tools. Pressed-in bushings may need a press or a shop to fit them.

Questions about Chevrolet Corvette bushings

Do I need an alignment after installing this?
If the part changes or affects suspension geometry, yes. It is a good idea after any arm, link or bushing change.
Can I install it myself?
Many bolt-on parts can be installed at home with the right tools and a safe way to support the car. Pressed bushings and anything you are unsure about are best left to a shop.
