Who MaxTrac Suspension is
MaxTrac Suspension is a truck and SUV suspension brand based in Anaheim, California. Its website lists lift kits, leveling kits, lowering kits and shocks, along with spindle and strut lowering kits, torsion keys, spacer kits, lift boxes and coil spacers, and says the brand has built its name over more than 15 years on quality, service and affordability. A 2020 LSX Magazine feature on MaxTrac's GM truck lowering kit highlighted its forged aluminum drop spindle, which the article says keeps a near-factory ride and leaves room for larger wheels.
So MaxTrac does both directions, up and down. Our catalog leans toward the lowering side, especially for Chevrolet and GMC trucks.

How to choose between MaxTrac's lines
Spindles vs coils for the front
A drop spindle moves the wheel's mounting point up, so the truck sits lower without shorter springs or less suspension travel. That is why spindles are usually the first choice for a front drop. MaxTrac's spindles on our store list 2 inches for the 1988 to 1991 GM 1500 (100520L) and 2.5 inches for 101125H. Lowering coils are cheaper per inch but shorten travel, so many builds combine a 2 inch spindle with a 1 to 2 inch coil for a bigger drop. Torsion bar trucks like the 1995 to 2006 GM models use lowering torsion keys instead ($147.99, 1 to 3 inches).
Shackles, hangers or blocks for the rear
Leaf-spring trucks drop at the rear with shackles, hangers or blocks. MaxTrac shackles on our store list 1 or 2 inch drops for $83.99 to $121.99, the 420520 hanger lists 2 inches at $220.99, and block kits for 1992 to 2003 GM trucks run $93.99 to $116.99, with the 430030 listing a 3 inch drop. Past about 3 inches, look at a flip kit or full lowering kit, and plan for a C-notch to keep axle clearance.
Twin-tube vs Fox Performance Series shocks
Any truck that has been lowered or lifted needs shocks with the right length. MaxTrac's twin-tube shocks ($85.99 to $300.99) are sized by drop or lift, such as the 1800LL4 listed for a 5 inch drop on 2014 to 2025 GM trucks. The Fox Performance Series units are monotube, gas-charged and priced from $338.99, with listings for 2.1 to 4 inch lifts. Choose twin-tube for a street truck on a budget and the Fox units for a lifted truck that sees dirt.
