Listed for: 1996-2002 Toyota 4RunnerFitment notes & questions

The lower trailing arms on the 1996-2002 4Runner carry the solid rear axle, and their bushings deal with every rock, rut and trailer hitch the truck sees. When they wear out, the axle can shift under acceleration and braking, which you feel as clunks and a loose rear end. This SuperPro kit replaces the lower link bushings on 1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner Base, SR5 and Limited models. It suits trail trucks, tow rigs and owners rebuilding the suspension on an older 4Runner. Doing both lower arms at once keeps the axle square, and the job pairs well with a lift or new springs. Check the upper arms and track bar for play at the same time, as they share the job of locating the axle.

Ask about fitment

Plan the whole job

  • An alignment after installing new arms or bushings.
  • Matching parts at the other end. Upgrading one side or one link and leaving worn parts elsewhere limits the improvement.
  • Install tools. Pressed-in bushings may need a press or a shop to fit them.
