This SuperPro rear spring rear bushing kit replaces the leaf spring bushings at the rear of the car for the 1957-1965 Triumph TR3A, TR3B and TR4. Leaf spring bushings sit in the spring eyes and locate the spring, and with it the rear axle, on the chassis. Perished bushings let the axle move around and can produce clunks. It suits restorations and classic cars still driven on the road.

The spring eye bushings are what hold a leaf-sprung axle in place. When they break down, the rear can shift under load and the car feels less planted.

Once the new parts are in, have the alignment checked, because fresh bushings can locate parts slightly differently from worn ones.

It makes sense to compare the old and new parts side by side before installing, so you can confirm you have the correct piece for your location.

Plan the whole job

  • An alignment after installing new arms or bushings.
  • Matching parts at the other end. Upgrading one side or one link and leaving worn parts elsewhere limits the improvement.
  • Install tools. Pressed-in bushings may need a press or a shop to fit them.
