SPF2056K is a SuperPro outer bushing kit for the rear lower control arm. The outer end connects to the hub carrier, so wear there lets camber and toe drift as the car moves. Renewing it helps the rear stay consistent, which suits road cars with tired suspension and performance-minded owners.

Think of a bushing as a joint with a controlled amount of give. When the give becomes excessive, the geometry of the suspension changes under load and the car loses some of its composure. Fitting new bushings returns that joint to a known state, which makes any later alignment or tuning work more meaningful.

Pressed-in bushings often need a hydraulic press or a shop with the right tools, so plan the job accordingly. It is good practice to tighten pivot bolts with the suspension at normal ride height rather than hanging, and to have the alignment checked once the work is done.

If the original bushings are cracked, split or visibly offset in their housings, they are due. Before ordering, it is worth inspecting the neighboring parts too, since worn ball joints, links or mounts can produce similar symptoms and are easy to replace at the same time.

Parts that usually go with it

  • An alignment after installing new arms or bushings.
  • Matching parts at the other end. Upgrading one side or one link and leaving worn parts elsewhere limits the improvement.
  • Install tools. Pressed-in bushings may need a press or a shop to fit them.

Questions

Check the product title and details for the vehicles it is listed for. If you are not sure, contact us with your year, make, model and trim and we will confirm fitment with the supplier before you order.
Do I need an alignment after installing this?
If the part changes or affects suspension geometry, yes. It is a good idea after any arm, link or bushing change.
Can I install it myself?
Many bolt-on parts can be installed at home with the right tools and a safe way to support the car. Pressed bushings and anything you are unsure about are best left to a shop.
