This is the SuperPro Rear Differential To Crossmember Bushing Kit for the 1993-1995 Mazda RX-7. Differential mount bushings hold the rear diff in place and soak up drivetrain shock, so worn ones often show up as clunks when you get on and off the throttle. It suits street cars and track-day cars where driveline slop or clunking has become noticeable.

Factory rubber bushings are tuned for comfort, and over time heat, oil and age make them crack, sag and tear. Once that happens the arm or component they hold can move around more than the engineers intended, which shows up as clunks, vague steering, uneven tire wear or a car that feels loose over rough roads.

Key features

  • Rear position: designed for the rear suspension
  • Part type: differential mount bushing
  • Rubber replacement: SuperPro positions these bushings as an upgrade over rubber, citing quieter running and longer service life

Fitment

  • 1993-1995 Mazda RX-7 Base, Touring
  • 1993 Mazda RX-7 R1
  • 1994-1995 Mazda RX-7 R2

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

These bushings press into their housings, so you may need a hydraulic press, or a shop with one, to fit them. A wheel alignment afterwards is a good idea when you replace locating bushings.

Ask about fitment

Plan the whole job

  • An alignment after installing new arms or bushings.
  • Matching parts at the other end. Upgrading one side or one link and leaving worn parts elsewhere limits the improvement.
  • Install tools. Pressed-in bushings may need a press or a shop to fit them.
