Made by SuperPro for the inner mount of the rear lower control arm on the 1990-2005 Mazda Miata, including the Mazdaspeed, this kit replaces bushings that tend to go soft with age and miles. Tired bushings let parts move out of place, so the car feels loose and may clunk. New bushings help steering and braking feel more exact. In a multi-link rear end each arm controls one direction of wheel movement, so a soft bushing in any one of them can let toe or camber shift under load and leave the rear feeling unsettled. It suits daily drivers and enthusiast street cars, including cars that see the occasional track day.

What else to plan for

  • An alignment after installing new arms or bushings.
  • Matching parts at the other end. Upgrading one side or one link and leaving worn parts elsewhere limits the improvement.
  • Install tools. Pressed-in bushings may need a press or a shop to fit them.
