This SuperPro kit renews the lower-inner bushing of the rear control arm on the 2004-2011 Mazda RX-8, from base cars to the R3, Shinka and 40th Anniversary Edition. The RX-8 is prized for its balance, and soft rear bushings take the edge off that by letting the rear wheels shift under load. It suits RX-8s used on back roads, at autocross and on track.

On any car, the control arms are only as precise as the bushings holding them. A soft or split bushing lets the arm deflect, which changes camber and toe on the move and can make the car feel nervous over uneven roads. Swapping in a new bushing keeps the geometry where it should be and helps tires wear evenly.
