This SuperPro front sway bar mount bushing kit is shared by several British classics: the MG MGB and MGB V-8, the Austin Healey Sprite and the Austin A30 and A60. It suits restorations and regularly driven classics whose original bar mounts have hardened or split. Mount bushings are the clamps that hold the sway bar to the body or subframe, and they decide how much of the bar's twist actually reaches the chassis. When mount bushings harden, crack or wear oval, the bar can shift in its brackets, which shows up as clunks over bumps and a slow, vague response when you turn in. Fresh bushings also help keep the bar centered in its brackets so it loads evenly from side to side. Bracket bolts on older vehicles can be stubborn, so allow some extra time and penetrating oil for the job.
