This SuperPro kit replaces the upper bushings in the front spring shackles of a leaf-sprung front suspension. The product data does not name vehicles, so please confirm your year, make and model with us before ordering. It suits trucks and 4x4s with worn shackle bushings. Leaf spring bushings and pads sit where the spring meets its hangers, shackles or axle, letting the spring flex while keeping the axle located. Once spring bushings wear, the axle can move in ways it should not, leading to squeaks, clunks and a wandering feel, especially with weight on board. New bushings tighten up the spring mounting so the axle stays square under load. It is usually worth replacing the bushings on both sides at the same time so the axle sits evenly. Spring eye bushings are typically pressed in, so a press or a shop may be needed for installation. Inspect the shackles, hangers and spring bolts at the same time, since worn hardware can undo the benefit of new bushings.

SuperPro bushings: what to know

If the car feels loose, clunks over bumps or wanders under braking, tired bushings are a common cause.

Parts that usually go with it

  • An alignment after installing new arms or bushings.
  • Matching parts at the other end. Upgrading one side or one link and leaving worn parts elsewhere limits the improvement.
  • Install tools. Pressed-in bushings may need a press or a shop to fit them.

Check the product title and details for the vehicles it is listed for. If you are not sure, contact us with your year, make, model and trim and we will confirm fitment with the supplier before you order.
Do I need an alignment after installing this?
If the part changes or affects suspension geometry, yes. It is a good idea after any arm, link or bushing change.
Can I install it myself?
Many bolt-on parts can be installed at home with the right tools and a safe way to support the car. Pressed bushings and anything you are unsure about are best left to a shop.
Where do specs and warranty details come from?
