Listed for: Chevrolet TrailingFitment notes & questions

SuperPro SPF0456K is a bushing kit for the front pivot of the trailing arm on Chevrolet applications. Trailing arms keep the axle located front to rear and control how it moves as the suspension cycles. On a lifted or heavily loaded vehicle, adjustable arms let you correct axle position and pinion angle after the ride height has changed. Trailing arm bushings take the push and pull of acceleration and braking. When they are worn, the axle or hub can move fore and aft, which can show up as wandering, clunks on and off the throttle, or vague handling over bumps. This is a practical choice for street vehicles that have started to feel worn, and for enthusiasts building a more responsive setup. When replacing one worn part, it is worth checking the joints, links and mounts around it, since they have usually covered the same miles. If the vehicle has been lowered or lifted, factor that into the job, as ride height changes affect how every pivot and link is loaded.

Plan the whole job

  • An alignment after installing new arms or bushings.
  • Matching parts at the other end. Upgrading one side or one link and leaving worn parts elsewhere limits the improvement.
  • Install tools. Pressed-in bushings may need a press or a shop to fit them.
