SuperPro's SPF4960K replaces the bolts that secure the bottom of the front struts on the 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 (Base, GT and GXP), the 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO, the 2014-2017 Chevrolet SS and the 2011-2017 Chevrolet Caprice PPV. It is a practical part to have on hand when the struts come out for replacement, whether the car is a daily driver, a weekend cruiser or a former police vehicle.

The lower strut bolts clamp the base of the strut to the steering knuckle, so they carry significant suspension loads. Fresh bolts make sense whenever struts are removed, or when the originals are corroded or have been disturbed several times. Tighten to the specification in the service procedure.

Bushings also affect noise and vibration, so worn parts can make an otherwise healthy vehicle feel older than it is. Fitting new parts at the same time as other suspension work saves repeat labor.
