SPF2037K renews the inner rearward bushing of the front lower control arm on the 2000-2003 Infiniti QX4 and 2000-2004 Nissan Pathfinder. That bushing takes heavy braking loads, so wear here can cause clunks and wander. It suits family SUVs, tow vehicles and Pathfinders that see dirt roads.

Think of a bushing as a joint with a controlled amount of give. When the give becomes excessive, the geometry of the suspension changes under load and the car loses some of its composure. Fitting new bushings returns that joint to a known state, which makes any later alignment or tuning work more meaningful.

Pressed-in bushings often need a hydraulic press or a shop with the right tools, so plan the job accordingly. It is good practice to tighten pivot bolts with the suspension at normal ride height rather than hanging, and to have the alignment checked once the work is done.

Parts that usually go with it

  • An alignment after installing new arms or bushings.
  • Matching parts at the other end. Upgrading one side or one link and leaving worn parts elsewhere limits the improvement.
  • Install tools. Pressed-in bushings may need a press or a shop to fit them.
