This Prothane bushing goes in the leaf spring shackle of older Chevrolet and GMC trucks, where the spring eye meets the shackle that lets the spring flex. Once the original rubber goes soft, the rear end can shift and clunk over bumps. It suits owners who drive their truck on the street, haul with it or are freshening up a project.

Key features

  • Replaces shackle bushings that have gone soft and let the suspension move where it should not
  • A firmer bushing helps steering and braking feel more precise on a worn truck
  • Covers a very wide spread of Chevrolet and GMC pickups, Blazers and Suburbans
  • Prothane part, store SKU 0UKU1

What else to plan for

  • An alignment after installing new arms or bushings.
  • Matching parts at the other end. Upgrading one side or one link and leaving worn parts elsewhere limits the improvement.
  • Install tools. Pressed-in bushings may need a press or a shop to fit them.
