The Silverado and Sierra in one view

The Silverado and Sierra share their chassis, so most parts here list both. Parts are split by generation first, then by 2WD or 4WD, then by cab and bed. GM also sold carryover trucks next to new ones in some years: the 2007 Classic, the 2019 Limited (LD) and the 2022 LTD. Those take the older generation's parts. Counts group listings by the first model year in each title.

Fourth generation (2019 redesign)2019 and newer45$118.80 to $3,349

The 2500HD and 3500HD follow the same generations but changed over later: the GMT900 HD ran through 2014, the K2XX HD started for 2015, and the current HD started for 2020.

GM unveiled a new Silverado 1500 in June 2026. Our titles currently stop at 2025 or say "2019+", so confirm fitment before ordering for the newest trucks. Lower, level, lift or tow: the four Silverado setups

Lowering kits

Lowering is where this page is deepest, nearly all from Belltech. Kits run from $252 for a 2003 to 2007 kit without shocks to $3,123 for the 2019 and newer 2 to 5 in front, 6 in rear Performance Handling kit. Common combos are 2 in front with 4 in rear, and 3 to 4 in front with 5 to 7 in rear. Belltech coilover kits for the 1500 cost $850 to $2,253, drop spindles are $410 to $546, and the 2019 flip kit is $729. Big rear drops use a flip kit, and the 2019 Belltech flip kit includes a C-notch, which means cutting and welding the frame. Read what is a C-notch.

Leveling kits

Leveling lifts the front to match the rear. On 2007 and newer 1500s, a Body Armor 2 in strut spacer is $40, Belltech strut spacers are $189 and Belltech 0 to 2 in leveling struts cost $149 to $155.40. Belltech 1/2-ton leveling kits for 2007 to 2018 are $646, and the 2 in leveling coilover kit for 2019 and newer 4WD trucks is $778.80. Bilstein 5100 ride height adjustable fronts ($176 to $251.85) let you level with the shock alone. Torsion bar trucks from 2001 to 2010 use Belltech torsion bar keys at $185.

Lift kits

Belltech 4 in lift kits for 4WD 1500s cost $957 to $1,455. The 6 to 9 in kits run $2,295 to $3,482, and the 2019 to 2023 6 to 8 in kit with coilovers is $3,349. Our Silverado leveling kit vs lift kit guide helps you pick a height.

Towing and load support

Air Lift helper springs keep the rear level under load. Loadlifter 5000 kits are $538.95 to $701.99, Ultimate kits are $654.96 to $879.59, and Ultimate Plus kits are $614.88 to $909.99. HD owners get LoadLifter 7500 XL kits at $797.99 to $961.19. RideControl kits for 2007 to 2019 trucks are $514.79.

What else a lowered or lifted Silverado needs

  • Upper control arms. Leveling or lifting pushes camber and caster out. Whiteline front upper arms cost $571.20 for 2019 to 2021 and $506.59 for 2009 to 2018 1500s. Browse control arms.
  • Drop spindles and shackles. Spindles drop the front without changing the springs. See drop spindles and drop shackles and hangers. The 2019 and newer Belltech spindle set ($546) does not fit Classic trucks.
  • Shocks for the new height. A lowered truck needs shorter shocks like Belltech Nitro Drop 2 ($65 each, $260 a set). A leveled one can use the Bilstein 5100 for 0 to 2.5 in of lift ($181). See Bilstein 5100 shocks.
  • Sway bars for lifted trucks. Belltech front bars for 6 to 7 in lifts cost $319 to $489, and the 2019 to 2023 4WD front bar is $330. Browse sway bars and end links.
  • Bushings. Whiteline control arm, spring eye and body mount bushings ($35.88 to $259.99) tighten up older trucks.

Known Silverado and Sierra quirks

  • Classic, Limited and LTD trucks. These carryover trucks take the previous generation's parts. Some new-body listings say "Does Not Fit Classic".
  • Mid-2016 split. Several Belltech lowering kits say 2016.5 to 2018, so check your build date on 2016 trucks.
  • Cab and bed length. Lowering kits are often split into standard cab and extended or crew cab versions, and Belltech Performance Handling and coilover kits list short bed trucks.
  • 2WD or 4WD. Drop amounts differ. For 2019 and newer trucks, the Belltech 2WD kit gives 2 to 4 in front, while the 4WD kit gives 4 in front, both with 6 in rear.
  • Trail Boss. The 2019 Trail Boss has its own Air Lift kits and Bilstein 5100 front shock ($251.85).
  • HD trucks. This page is mostly 1500 parts. HD owners will find Air Lift kits, a Zone Offroad knuckle box ($426.99) for 2020 to 2025 4WD trucks and a few Whiteline bushings.

Install and alignment notes

Strut spacers, torsion keys and helper air springs are driveway jobs in a few hours with a jack, stands and hand tools. Lowering kits with drop spindles, flip kits and lift kits over 4 in change steering and driveline geometry, and many owners use a shop. A C-notch involves cutting the frame, so that is a shop job. Always get an alignment after any ride height change. Use the tire size calculator and wheel offset calculator to check fitment.

Chevy Silverado & GMC Sierra Suspension Parts FAQ

What is the best suspension upgrade for a Silverado?
It depends on your goal. Belltech lowering kits ($252 to $3,123) suit street trucks, leveling parts ($40 to $778.80) remove the factory rake, Belltech lift kits ($957 to $3,482) clear bigger tires, and Air Lift helper springs ($514.79 to $961.19) help with towing.
Do Silverado parts fit the GMC Sierra?
Usually, yes. The two trucks share the chassis and most titles list both, but check the years, cab and drivetrain in each title.
Do 2019 and newer parts fit a 2019 Silverado Limited?
No. The 2019 Limited (LD) is the previous K2XX truck, so it takes 2014 to 2018 parts. Some new-body listings say "Does Not Fit Classic".
How much does it cost to lower a Silverado?
Belltech kits without shocks start at $252 for some older trucks and $458 for 2014 trucks. Complete kits with shocks for 2019 and newer trucks run $1,735.20 to $3,123, plus alignment.
Do I need a C-notch to lower my Silverado?
Big rear drops often need one for axle clearance. The 2019 Belltech flip kit includes a C-notch, which means cutting and welding the frame, so it is a shop job.
How do I level a Silverado?
On 2007 and newer 1500s, strut spacers or leveling struts ($40 to $189) raise the front about 2 in. Torsion bar trucks from 2001 to 2010 use torsion bar keys, and Bilstein 5100 adjustable fronts let you level with the shock alone.
Do I need an alignment after leveling or lowering?
Yes. Any ride height change moves camber and toe, so get an alignment right after the install.
