Collection: BDS Suspension

BDS Suspension lift parts for Ford, Chevy and GMC, Ram and Jeep trucks: NX2 shocks, Glide-Ride leaf springs, coil springs, lift blocks, knuckles and the box kits that make up full BDS lift systems. We list 200 BDS parts from $79.99 to $1,581.99, and most listings carry the BDS part number so you can match it to your kit.

Who BDS Suspension is

BDS Suspension builds lift kits and suspension parts for trucks and Jeeps. According to its own site, BDS products are engineered, tested and manufactured in Coldwater, Michigan, and the company is a division of Fox Factory. That link to Fox shows up in the catalog: many BDS systems are sold with Fox shocks or Fox 2.5 coilovers, while the base kits use BDS's own NX2 Nitro shocks.

BDS is best known for complete lift systems, from early leaf-spring trucks to late-model independent front suspension and solid-axle setups, with lifts in the 2 to 8 inch range. Most of what we list are the parts inside those systems: springs, blocks, knuckles, strut spacers, shocks and the boxed hardware kits. If you are still deciding between a level and a full lift, read leveling kit vs lift kit first.

Why some listings say "1of2" or "box kit"

BDS ships its bigger lift systems as several numbered boxes. A listing such as "4-Link Box Kit (1of2)" is one box of a complete system, not the whole lift. Before you order, check the BDS kit number for your truck and make sure you buy every box it calls for, plus the shocks if your kit is sold without them. If you only see one box listed for your truck, ask us before you buy rather than guessing.

Fitment by truck

BDS listings name the make, years and lift height in the title or description. Here is how our BDS range splits by make, with links to our truck pages for other brands that fit.

How to choose between BDS lines

NX2 shocks or Fox shocks

NX2 Nitro shocks are the twin-tube shocks BDS includes in its base kits. At $79.99 to $86.99 each they are the budget way to finish a lift or replace worn shocks on a lifted truck. If you tow, drive gravel at speed or want a firmer, more controlled ride, the Fox options cost more but step up to monotube and reservoir designs. See our Fox shocks page for those.

Spacer level, strut spacer lift or full system

  • Spacer leveling kit (about 2 inches): raises the front to match the rear. Cheapest and simplest. The BDS Ram level here is $241.99.
  • Strut spacer or knuckle lift (4 to 6 inches on IFS trucks): new knuckles and crossmembers drop the front suspension. This is where most BDS 1500 and F-150 parts sit.
  • 4-link, long arm or coilover system: for heavy-duty Ram and Super Duty trucks and Jeeps that want more travel and better axle control. These are the most expensive and the most involved to install.

Glide-Ride leaf springs or blocks

Lift blocks are cheap ($87.99 to $302.99 here) and raise the rear on leaf-sprung trucks. Glide-Ride leaf springs cost more but lift without stacking a tall block. Tall blocks can make axle wrap worse on trucks that tow or make a lot of torque. If your rear springs are old and sagging, new springs are the better fix.

BDS compared with other brands we carry

BDS vs Skyjacker: both cover older solid-axle trucks with leaf springs, coils and steering parts. Skyjacker lists more complete Jeep systems with shocks in one box, while BDS has more late-model IFS and heavy-duty 4-link parts. BDS vs Rough Country: Rough Country kits are usually cheaper and sold as one box, but our Rough Country range is small. Pick BDS when you want a system you can step up with Fox shocks later.

What else you'll need

  • An alignment after any lift or level.
  • Longer shocks to match the new height. Check the lift range on each listing.
  • Extended end links and a dropped pitman arm or track bar on solid-axle trucks. See sway bar end links and steering stabilizers.
  • Bigger tires. Use our tire size calculator to check diameter and speedometer error.

Warranty terms are set by each brand, so check the BDS terms for your kit before you buy.

BDS Suspension FAQ

Is BDS Suspension owned by Fox?
Yes. The BDS website describes BDS as a division of Fox Factory, and many BDS lift systems are offered with Fox shocks or Fox 2.5 coilovers.
Where is BDS Suspension made?
BDS says its products are engineered, tested and manufactured in Coldwater, Michigan.
Why does a BDS listing say 1of2?
BDS ships larger lift systems in several numbered boxes. A "1of2" listing is one box of the system, so you need every box your kit number calls for to complete the lift.
What is the difference between BDS NX2 and Fox shocks?
NX2 Nitro shocks are BDS's own gas-charged twin-tube shocks and cost $79.99 to $86.99 each here. Fox shocks cost more and add monotube and reservoir designs for towing and harder off-road use.
Do I need an alignment after a BDS lift?
Yes. Any lift or level changes your suspension angles, so get an alignment after the install and recheck it after the parts settle.
What does a BDS lift cost on Lower HQ?
BDS parts here run from $79.99 for a single NX2 shock to $1,581.99 for the long arm lift kit. A full multi-box system adds up to more, so price every box your kit needs.
