Assetto Corsa drift maps: what is here
This collection lists more than 300 free tracks for Assetto Corsa, all of them set up for drifting. They range from laser-scanned real venues to touge roads, championship comp layouts, snow and ice maps, and pure fun maps. Real venue drift tracks
Real venues are the most popular track mods because you can learn a layout you have watched on video or plan to drive. Japan is well covered: alongside Ebisu Minami there are Ebisu North, Ebisu Nishi, Ebisu Higashi and the all-in-one Ebisu Complex, plus Tsukuba Fruits Line and Meihan Sports Land. In the US you can drive Lanier Raceway, OSW, ESDA Englishtown and two takes on Long Beach. In Europe, try Mondello Park in Ireland. Accuracy varies: some, like OSW, are built from scan data, while others are fan layouts inspired by the real place, so check each listing.
Touge tracks for Assetto Corsa
Touge means mountain pass, and these maps put you on narrow roads with hairpins, steep climbs and drops, and very little run-off. Good free choices include Project Touge, Ebisu Touge Course, Kurayoshi Touge and Great State of Touge, which has more than 70 km of road in its free version. Lighter, lower-power cars make touge much easier to learn.
Competition and league layouts
Sim drift leagues release the exact layouts they run, so you can practise the same zones and clipping points as competitors. You will find rounds from DCGP, VDC (Virtual Drift Championship), ISDCC, ESDA and ADC here, including the full DCGP season 11 set from Long Beach to Daytona. These layouts are usually tight and walled, and they reward a pro spec car from our Assetto Corsa car packs.
Practice parks, snow maps and fun tracks
Original drift parks are built for practice, with many layouts and plenty of pit boxes. Snow and ice maps such as Ghost Lake and Drift Park Orchowek Winter Edition teach throttle control at low grip. For relaxed lobbies with friends, there are blocky and themed maps like Minecraft World and the sci-fi KB3K Nova Station.
How to choose a drift map
- Skill level: start with a compact practice map, then move to real venues and comp layouts.
- Your car: high-power pro cars suit fast, open tracks; street cars suit tight and touge maps.
- Your PC: big free-roam maps and heavy CSP effects need more performance than small drift parks.
- Online play: check the pit box count if you want to host a lobby.
Content Manager and CSP basics
Two free community tools make modded Assetto Corsa far easier. Content Manager is a custom launcher and content manager for the game. You can drag a downloaded archive onto it to install a track or car, pick layouts and skins, and join online servers. The free Lite version is enough for installing mods; a paid full version unlocks newer features and pre-release builds. Custom Shaders Patch (CSP) is an extension for Assetto Corsa that started as a way to add dynamic lighting and now also brings weather effects, particle effects and physics extensions. Many modern drift tracks use CSP for night lighting, rain, grass and other effects, and some will not look right without it. Content Manager can install and update CSP for you.
How to install Assetto Corsa downloads
- Install Content Manager and, if you have not already, Custom Shaders Patch.
- Download the free mod from its listing and unzip it.
- Drag the archive onto Content Manager to install it. To do it by hand, copy track folders into assettocorsa/content/tracks and car folders into assettocorsa/content/cars.
- Open Content Manager, choose the track and layout, and start a practice session or join a server.
If a track does not appear or shows missing textures, the folder is usually one level too deep or CSP is missing. Our full guide on how to install Assetto Corsa mods covers these fixes step by step.
Track mods for online lobbies
If you host or join busy servers, pit box count matters, since it caps how many drivers can join. Some of the larger free maps here list plenty: KB3K Elevation Shift has 69 pit boxes, Ghost Lake and Great State of Touge have 50 each, Driftland Scotland has 32 with more than 15 layouts, and Feint Valley has 35. Smaller tracks such as Quaker City Raceway, with 16 pit boxes, suit a group of friends. Every driver on the server needs the same version of the track installed.
