If you want a lower, tighter 1989-1994 Nissan Skyline GT-S (R32) without a harsh ride, the SF Racing Sport Coilovers are made for that job: street use, adjustable height and 32 damping settings. This version is listed for RWD models.

What you get

It is a true coilover at all four corners, so the spring and damper work as one unit front and rear. Damper bodies are 50mm front and rear. It comes with 12 kg/mm (about 672 lb/in) springs up front and 7.2 kg/mm (about 403 lb/in) at the rear. Damping is 1-way: a single knob with 32 settings changes rebound and compression together, which keeps tuning quick. The front top mounts are aluminum with rubber bushing. At the rear, the mounts are aluminum with rubber bushing.

Highlights

  • Monotube dampers, which shed heat well and hold their damping under hard use
  • 32-level damping adjustment, rebound and compression combined on one adjuster
  • Anodized T6-6061 aluminum top mounts, spring perches and collars for corrosion resistance
  • Zinc-plated shock bodies for rust protection
  • Cold-wound SAE9254 spring steel
  • NOK seals and Italian IP damping oil
  • Built-in dust boots and bump stops
  • Bolt-on install with no modifications, unless the notes below say otherwise
  • Adjustable ride height, roughly 1 to 2.5 inches below factory per SF Racing, while keeping suspension travel
  • Separate lower-mount (length) adjustment, so height changes don't preload the spring

Who it suits

A good fit if the car is driven on the street most of the time and you want a lower stance with better body control.

Before you order: Nissan Skyline GT-S fitment and setup

This SF Racing kit replaces the factory springs and shocks on the 1989-1994 Nissan Skyline GT-S RWD with a height-adjustable coilover at each corner, so you set the ride height instead of living with a fixed drop.

Fitment notes

  • Listed for: 1989-1994 Nissan Skyline GT-S RWD (R32).
  • Model years: 1989-1994. Check your car's year falls inside this range.
  • Chassis code R32: parts for other chassis codes of the same model usually won't fit.
  • Drivetrain: RWD. RWD and AWD versions of the same car often take different parts.
  • Factory adaptive dampers: if your car has electronic or adaptive suspension, check whether the listing covers it or needs a cancellation kit.
  • Specs, lead time and warranty come from SF Racing and can change. The details above this guide are the latest we have.

Not sure it fits? Send us your year, make, model, trim and drivetrain and we'll check with the supplier before you order.

Plan the whole job

  • An alignment. Any change in ride height changes camber and toe. Set your final height first, then align.
  • Camber and toe adjustment. Bigger drops often need adjustable arms or camber plates to align properly. See alignment and camber kits.
  • Wheel and tire clearance. Check clearance at full lock and full compression, especially with wider wheels. Our ride height and wheel fitment calculator shows how much drop and offset change you are planning.
  • The right spring rate. Compare the rates listed here with what our spring rate calculator suggests for your car's weight and use.

Questions about Nissan Skyline GT-S coilovers

Will this fit my Nissan Skyline GT-S?
It is listed for the 1989-1994 Nissan Skyline GT-S RWD (R32). Check your year, model, drivetrain and chassis code against the product title. If anything is different, contact us and we will confirm fitment with the supplier before you order.
Do I need an alignment after installing coilovers?
Yes. Changing ride height changes camber and toe. Set your final height, let the suspension settle, then get the car aligned.
How low can I go?
It depends on the adjustment range the brand lists, your wheels and tires, and how you use the car. Most cars that are driven hard work best with a modest drop that leaves enough suspension travel.
Where do specs and warranty details come from?
From SF Racing. We sell parts from several brands and suppliers, and each one sets its own specs, lead times and warranty terms. The product details above are the latest we have.
