SF Racing's N2 Coilovers for the 2011-2018 BMW 6 Series Coupe (F13) add external reservoirs and 2-way damping adjustment for drivers who want finer control over how the car rides and handles. This version is listed for RWD models.

How this kit is set up for the 2011-2018 BMW 6 Series Coupe

Front and rear are both true coilovers, which keeps ride height adjustment simple and precise at each corner. Damper bodies are 52mm front and 50mm rear. It comes with 12 kg/mm (about 672 lb/in) springs up front and 8.3 kg/mm (about 465 lb/in) at the rear. Damping is 1-way, with one adjuster that changes rebound and compression together. The front top mounts are aluminum with rubber bushings. At the rear, the mounts are aluminum with rubber bushings.

Features

  • External-reservoir dampers for more oil capacity and consistent damping under hard use
  • 2-way damping: rebound and compression adjust separately
  • Adjustable ride height, roughly 1 to 2.5 inches below factory per SF Racing, while keeping suspension travel
  • Separate lower-mount (length) adjustment, so height changes don't preload the spring
  • T6-6061 aluminum hardware (top mounts, perches and collars), anodized against corrosion
  • Zinc-plated shock bodies for rust protection
  • Bolt-on install with no modifications, unless the notes below say otherwise

Who it suits

A good fit for experienced drivers who want to tune rebound and compression separately.

Ask about fitment

Parts that usually go with it

  • An alignment. Any change in ride height changes camber and toe. Set your final height first, then align.
  • Camber and toe adjustment. Bigger drops often need adjustable arms or camber plates to align properly. See alignment and camber kits.
  • Wheel and tire clearance. Check clearance at full lock and full compression, especially with wider wheels. Our ride height and wheel fitment calculator shows how much drop and offset change you are planning.
  • The right spring rate. Compare the rates listed here with what our spring rate calculator suggests for your car's weight and use.

Questions about BMW 6 Series Coupe coilovers

Will this fit my BMW 6 Series Coupe?
It is listed for the 2011-2018 BMW 6 Series Coupe RWD (F13). Check your year, model, drivetrain and chassis code against the product title. If anything is different, contact us and we will confirm fitment with the supplier before you order.
Do I need an alignment after installing coilovers?
Yes. Changing ride height changes camber and toe. Set your final height, let the suspension settle, then get the car aligned.
How low can I go?
It depends on the adjustment range the brand lists, your wheels and tires, and how you use the car. Most cars that are driven hard work best with a modest drop that leaves enough suspension travel.
Where do specs and warranty details come from?
From SF Racing. We sell parts from several brands and suppliers, and each one sets its own specs, lead times and warranty terms. The product details above are the latest we have.
