SF Racing's N2 Coilovers for the 2010-2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan (W212) add external reservoirs and 2-way damping adjustment for drivers who want finer control over how the car rides and handles. This version is listed for RWD models.

2010-2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan setup details

Up front it is a true coilover; the rear keeps a divorced layout, with the spring and shock mounted separately like the factory setup. Damper bodies are 52mm front and 46mm rear. It comes with 10 kg/mm (about 560 lb/in) springs up front and 14.7 kg/mm (about 823 lb/in) at the rear. Rebound and compression are adjusted separately (2-way), so you can tune how the car settles over bumps independently from how it reacts to them. The front top mounts are aluminum with rubber bushings, with aluminum camber plates with pillowball bushings available as an option. At the rear, the mounts are aluminum with rubber bushings.

Key features

  • External-reservoir dampers for more oil capacity and consistent damping under hard use
  • 2-way damping: rebound and compression adjust separately
  • Bolt-on install with no modifications, unless the notes below say otherwise
  • Ride height lowers roughly 1 to 2.5 inches below stock (SF Racing's figure) without giving up suspension travel
  • Separate lower-mount (length) adjustment, so height changes don't preload the spring
  • Anodized T6-6061 aluminum top mounts, spring perches and collars for corrosion resistance
  • Zinc-plated shock bodies for rust protection

Who it suits

A good fit for experienced drivers who want to tune rebound and compression separately.

About this coilover kit for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan

Coilovers combine the spring and damper in one adjustable unit. That lets you choose your ride height on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan and, on kits with damping adjustment, tune how firm it feels.

Fitment notes

  • Listed for: 2010-2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan RWD (W212).
  • Model years: 2010-2016. Check your car's year falls inside this range.

  • Factory adaptive dampers: if your car has electronic or adaptive suspension, check whether the listing covers it or needs a cancellation kit.
  • Specs, lead time and warranty come from SF Racing and can change. The details above this guide are the latest we have.

What else to plan for

  • An alignment. Any change in ride height changes camber and toe. Set your final height first, then align.
  • Camber and toe adjustment. Bigger drops often need adjustable arms or camber plates to align properly. See alignment and camber kits.
  • Wheel and tire clearance. Check clearance at full lock and full compression, especially with wider wheels. Our ride height and wheel fitment calculator shows how much drop and offset change you are planning.
  • The right spring rate. Compare the rates listed here with what our spring rate calculator suggests for your car's weight and use.

Questions about Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan coilovers

Will this fit my Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan?
It is listed for the 2010-2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan RWD (W212). Check your year, model, drivetrain and chassis code against the product title. If anything is different, contact us and we will confirm fitment with the supplier before you order.
Do I need an alignment after installing coilovers?
Yes. Changing ride height changes camber and toe. Set your final height, let the suspension settle, then get the car aligned.
How low can I go?
It depends on the adjustment range the brand lists, your wheels and tires, and how you use the car. Most cars that are driven hard work best with a modest drop that leaves enough suspension travel.
Where do specs and warranty details come from?
From SF Racing. We sell parts from several brands and suppliers, and each one sets its own specs, lead times and warranty terms. The product details above are the latest we have.
