SF Racing's N2 Coilovers for the 2006-2014 Audi R8 Coupe (42) add external reservoirs and 2-way damping adjustment for drivers who want finer control over how the car rides and handles. This version is listed for AWD models.

How this kit is set up for the 2006-2014 Audi R8 Coupe

It is a true coilover at all four corners, so the spring and damper work as one unit front and rear. Damper bodies are 50mm front and rear. It comes with 12 kg/mm (about 672 lb/in) springs up front and 16 kg/mm (about 896 lb/in) at the rear. Rebound and compression are adjusted separately (2-way), so you can tune how the car settles over bumps independently from how it reacts to them.

Features

  • External-reservoir dampers for more oil capacity and consistent damping under hard use
  • 2-way damping: rebound and compression adjust separately
  • Anodized T6-6061 aluminum top mounts, spring perches and collars for corrosion resistance
  • Zinc-plated shock bodies for rust protection
  • Bolt-on install with no modifications, unless the notes below say otherwise
  • Adjustable ride height, roughly 1 to 2.5 inches below factory per SF Racing, while keeping suspension travel
  • Separate lower-mount (length) adjustment, so height changes don't preload the spring

Who it suits

Ideal for high-performance builds that have outgrown 1-way adjustable coilovers.

SF Racing coilovers for your Audi R8 Coupe: what to know

Coilovers combine the spring and damper in one adjustable unit. That lets you choose your ride height on the Audi R8 Coupe and, on kits with damping adjustment, tune how firm it feels.

Ask about fitment

Parts that usually go with it

  • An alignment. Any change in ride height changes camber and toe. Set your final height first, then align.
  • Camber and toe adjustment. Bigger drops often need adjustable arms or camber plates to align properly. See alignment and camber kits.
  • Wheel and tire clearance. Check clearance at full lock and full compression, especially with wider wheels. Our ride height and wheel fitment calculator shows how much drop and offset change you are planning.
  • The right spring rate. Compare the rates listed here with what our spring rate calculator suggests for your car's weight and use.

Questions about Audi R8 Coupe coilovers

Will this fit my Audi R8 Coupe?
It is listed for the 2006-2014 Audi R8 Coupe AWD (42). Check your year, model, drivetrain and chassis code against the product title. If anything is different, contact us and we will confirm fitment with the supplier before you order.
Do I need an alignment after installing coilovers?
Yes. Changing ride height changes camber and toe. Set your final height, let the suspension settle, then get the car aligned.
How low can I go?
It depends on the adjustment range the brand lists, your wheels and tires, and how you use the car. Most cars that are driven hard work best with a modest drop that leaves enough suspension travel.
Where do specs and warranty details come from?
From SF Racing. We sell parts from several brands and suppliers, and each one sets its own specs, lead times and warranty terms. The product details above are the latest we have.
