Ford Lowering Springs

Lowering springs for Ford cars, from Godspeed, Megan Racing, Ford Performance, AST Suspension and Whiteline. Each listing names the model years, chassis code and drivetrain it fits, so match those to your car before you order.

Choosing lowering springs for your Ford

Lowering springs replace the factory springs to drop the Ford and cut body roll, while keeping your stock or upgraded shocks. They cost less than coilovers, but the ride height is fixed.

Where the listing gives a drop, the springs here lower the car about 20 to 65 mm (about 0.8 to 2.6 inches). Front and rear drops often differ, so check both numbers in the title.

Lowering more than about an inch and a half usually calls for shorter shocks, and every drop needs an alignment. Want adjustable height instead? See all Ford coilovers and suspension.

Ford Lowering Springs FAQ

Do I need new shocks with lowering springs on my Ford?
For a mild drop, most people keep healthy factory shocks. For a bigger drop, shorter or sport shocks last longer and ride better, because stock shocks are not built to work that compressed.
Will lowering springs make my Ford ride rougher?
Usually a little firmer, since most lowering springs use a higher spring rate than stock. How much depends on the brand and the drop, so compare the listings.
Do I need an alignment after installing lowering springs?
Yes. Lowering changes camber and toe. Let the springs settle for a few days of driving, then get the car aligned.
Lowering springs or coilovers for my Ford?
Springs are the cheaper way to get a fixed drop. Coilovers cost more but let you set ride height and, on many kits, damping.
