Older Monteros that still see trail use or towing duty often have tired spring bushings, and a fresh set helps the rear end stay settled on rough tracks and loaded highway runs.

Spring eye and shackle bushings allow the leaf to lengthen and shorten as it flexes over bumps. Worn spring bushings often cause axle movement under load, particularly when the bed or trunk is carrying weight. Inspect the shackles and hangers while the bushings are out.

Suspension bushings are easy to overlook because they wear gradually, and many owners only notice how loose a vehicle had become once new parts are fitted. Fitting new parts at the same time as other suspension work saves repeat labor.

Key features

Spring bushing kit

Part number KIT072K

Listed for Montero Base, LS, RS, SP, SR and Sport

Fitment

1983-2000 Mitsubishi Montero Base

1989-1997 Mitsubishi Montero LS

1990-1993 Mitsubishi Montero RS

1989-1990 Mitsubishi Montero SP

1984-1990 Mitsubishi Montero Sport

1992-1997 Mitsubishi Montero SR

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.
