That inner pivot connects the arm to the subframe or body, and when the rubber in it breaks down the rear wheel can change camber and toe as it moves, making the back of the car feel nervous and wearing tires unevenly. It suits owners refreshing a tired rear end or tightening it for spirited street driving.

Factory rubber bushings soften, crack and tear with age, heat and road grime, and each one that goes lets a suspension part move a little further than the engineers intended. It pays to inspect the neighboring joints while the control arm bushings are out, since parts that have covered the same miles tend to wear together. A firm, fresh bushing also helps steering and braking inputs reach the tires more directly, which drivers notice as a more precise, settled car. If other suspension work is planned, doing the control arm bushings at the same time saves repeating the labor later.

Key features

SuperPro part number SPF5766K

Rear upper control arm, inner position

Fitment

See the fitment details from the manufacturer before ordering.

Install notes

Pressed-in bushings may need a hydraulic press or a shop to fit on the car.
