It suits classic Triumph owners restoring a car for the road or vintage motorsport.

Because the trailing arm carries braking and acceleration loads, its bushings are among the hardest working in the rear suspension. Trailing arms run from the body to the rear hub and control the wheel's fore and aft movement. Fresh bushings help keep rear toe steady, which improves stability and tire wear. Replacing the bushings on both sides together keeps the rear axle behaving evenly. Worn trailing arm bushings can leave the rear feeling loose under braking or over bumps, and can let the rear wheels steer slightly. Use the fitment details below to confirm this is the right part for your vehicle.

While the suspension is apart, it is worth inspecting nearby parts such as shocks, ball joints and end links, since worn neighbors can hide the benefit of a new part.

Key features

Rear suspension application

Fits the upper rear trailing arm position

Fitment

1975-1981 Triumph TR7 Base

1980-1981 Triumph TR8 Base

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

On lowered or lifted vehicles, adjustable end links help keep the sway bar at the right angle.
