superpro-rear-trailing-arm-upper-bushing-kit-5
SuperPro Rear Trailing Arm Upper Bushing Kit for 1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner Base, SR5 and Limited

On the 1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner, the upper trailing arms help locate the rear axle front to back, and their bushings soak up a lot of load on rough ground. After a couple of decades they are often cracked or soft, which lets the axle shift and can cause clunks or wander. This SuperPro kit replaces those bushings and suits 4Runners used on the trail, for towing or as a daily driver.

It pays to inspect the neighboring joints while the trailing arm bushings are out, since parts that have covered the same miles tend to wear together. Factory rubber bushings soften, crack and tear with age, heat and road grime, and each one that goes lets a suspension part move a little further than the engineers intended. Bushing wear builds slowly, so many owners only notice once fresh trailing arm bushings are in and the 4Runner feels tight again.

Key features

Rear trailing arm upper bushing kit

Listed for 1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner

Fitment

1996-2001 Toyota 4Runner Base

1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner SR5 and Limited

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

On the 4Runner, expect to need a press, or a trip to a shop, where the trailing arm bushings press into place.
