The trailing arm locates the rear wheel front to back, and a worn rear bushing lets the wheel shift under power and braking, causing clunks and a vague rear end. It suits owners of these cars driving on the street, at drift events or on track.

If other suspension work is planned, doing the trailing arm bushings at the same time saves repeating the labor later. A firm, fresh bushing also helps steering and braking inputs reach the tires more directly, which drivers notice as a more precise, settled car. It pays to inspect the neighboring joints while the trailing arm bushings are out, since parts that have covered the same miles tend to wear together.

Key features

Rear trailing arm, rear bushing position

Listed for Lexus SC, GS and IS300 models

Fitment

1992-2000 Lexus SC300 and SC400

1997-2000 Lexus GS300; 1998-2000 GS400

2001-2005 Lexus IS300; 2002-2005 IS300 SportCross

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

Pressed-in bushings may need a hydraulic press or a shop to fit on the Lexus.
