The trailing arms carry braking and drive forces between the rear wheels and the body, and their bushings decide how much the arm can move off its intended path. It suits owners refreshing a classic for regular street use.

Trailing arm bushings locate the rear axle or hub fore and aft. Soft or split bushings let the rear end shift under braking and acceleration, which can make the car feel loose at the back.

Bushings wear slowly, so many owners do not notice the change until new parts go in. Cracks, missing chunks or oily, swollen rubber are all signs it is time to replace them.

Key features

Rear-position part

Listed for 4 year and trim groups

Fitment

1969-1994 Alfa Romeo Spider Base

1985-1990 Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate

1986-1990 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio

1970-1994 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

Expect to use a press, or have a shop do the job, because pressed-in bushings do not go in by hand.
