Trailing arm bushings locate the rear wheels front to back, and when they wear the rear end can steer itself slightly under braking or over bumps. It suits street cars and anyone restoring a car whose rear end feels vague.

Factory rubber bushings are tuned for comfort, and over time heat, oil and age make them crack, sag and tear. Once that happens the arm or component they hold can move around more than the engineers intended, which shows up as clunks, vague steering, uneven tire wear or a car that feels loose over rough roads.

Key features

Rear position: designed for the rear suspension

Part type: suspension trailing arm bushing

Fitment

2006 Mini Cooper Checkmate, Park Lane, S Park Lane, Seven, S Checkmate

2003-2008 Mini Cooper Pepper, S Hot Chili, S Salt, Chili, Salt, S Chili

2008 Mini Cooper S Clubman, S Sidewalk, John Cooper Works, Clubman

2002-2008 Mini Cooper S, Base

2002 Mini Cooper Sport, Luxury

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

These bushings press into their housings, so you may need a hydraulic press, or a shop with one, to fit them.
