Soft subframe mounts let the whole rear cradle shift under power and braking, which you feel as wheel hop, clunks and a loose rear end. Owners who launch hard, tow light loads or run these sedans on track tend to notice the difference most.

Subframe mount bushings sit between the subframe and the body, isolating noise and vibration while holding the subframe in place. When they wear, the subframe and everything bolted to it can shift under load, which upsets the alignment and makes the car feel disconnected. Renewing them firms up that whole assembly.

Key features

Rear suspension part

Part type: suspension subframe bushing kit

Fitment

2011-2017 Chevrolet Caprice (PPV)

2014-2017 Chevrolet SS (Base)

2008-2009 Pontiac G8 (GT, Base)

2009 Pontiac G8 (GXP)

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

Pressing the bushings in may require a press, so some owners have a shop handle the install.
