superpro-rear-spring-front-eye-bushing-kit-29
SuperPro Rear Spring Front Eye Bushing Kit for 1962-1980 MG MGB

On the MGB, the front eye of each rear leaf spring is what locates the axle fore and aft, so a perished bushing there shows up as clunks, axle tramp and a rear end that steers itself over bumps. This SuperPro kit replaces those bushings on MGB roadsters and GTs from 1962 to 1980, including the MK IV and V-8 cars. It is aimed at owners restoring a car or keeping a weekend driver sharp on back roads, where a tight rear end makes the chassis feel more composed. On a car this age, it is worth inspecting the spring hangers and shackle bolts while the springs are down, since corroded hardware is common and easy to replace at the same time.

Key features

Part: Rear spring front eye bushing kit

Position: Rear

SKU: 0082N

Listed for MGB Base, GT, MK IV and V-8 models

Fitment

1962-1974 MG MGB Base, GT

1975-1980 MG MGB MK IV

1973-1976 MG MGB V-8

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

If these bushings are a pressed-in fit on your vehicle, plan on using a hydraulic press or having a shop do the install.
