It suits Sprite restorations, weekend drivers and vintage racers.

Springs carry the vehicle's weight and set its ride height, so the parts that locate them deserve attention as they age. Worn spring bushings let the axle shift, which can show up as a clunk when pulling away, a squeak over bumps or vague handling. Fresh bushings help keep the rear axle square under the vehicle, which matters most when it is loaded. Spring bushings are often replaced at the same time as shackles or springs, since the hardware is already apart. Leaf springs mount to the vehicle through bushings at the spring eye and the shackle, and those bushings let the spring flex as it carries load. The fitment information below is the place to confirm compatibility.

Key features

Rear suspension application

Fits the front eye of the rear spring

Fitment

1958-1967 Austin Healey Sprite Base

1961 Austin Healey Sprite MK II

1966-1970 Austin Healey Sprite MK IV

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

Expect to need a press, or help from a shop, to fit pressed-in bushings.
