Owners restoring one of these cars, or keeping a driver in good shape, will find it a straightforward way to remove slack from the rear end.

Every control arm pivots on bushings, and on a Toyota Celica those factory pieces are often the first thing to wear. A tired bushing lets the wheel move fore and aft or in and out when it should not. Fresh bushings in this location help the car hold its line and stop the knock you feel through the floor.

Think of the rear control arm Lower-Inner & outer bushing kit as one of the joints that keep the suspension in place. When it is worn, alignment settings drift as soon as load goes through the suspension. Renewing it is a low-cost way to get back the tight, predictable feel the car had when it was new.

Key features

Rear lower control arm bushings

Covers both inner and outer positions

Fitment

1982-1986 Toyota Celica GT, ST, Supra

1983-1986 Toyota Celica GTS

1983-1984 Toyota Cressida Luxury

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

Removing and installing pressed-in bushings may call for a press, so plan for shop time if you lack the tools.
