The Forester rides tall, so a front bar that reacts quickly makes a real difference to how it holds a line. Fresh mounts suit daily drivers, gravel-road commuters and Foresters that have had suspension upgrades.

The balance between front and rear roll stiffness shapes how a car handles at the limit. Loose sway bar bushings quietly upset that balance by letting one bar act later than the other. Bringing both ends back to firm, consistent mounts is a sensible first step before changing bar sizes or settings.

If the original bushings are cracked, split or visibly offset in their housings, they are due. Before ordering, it is worth inspecting the neighboring parts too, since worn ball joints, links or mounts can produce similar symptoms and are easy to replace at the same time.

Key features

Front sway bar to chassis mount

Manufacturer part number SPF1383-25.4K

Listed for Forester L, S, X, XS, XSL, XT and L.L.
