Trailing arm bushings locate the rear axle or hub fore and aft. When they wear, the rear of the car can shift under acceleration and braking, which unsettles it and can change rear alignment as it moves. It suits off-road builds and daily-driven 4x4s that see rough trails as well as highway miles. A clunk from the rear when pulling away or braking is a common sign these bushings are done.

Key features

Position: front suspension

Part: Trailing Arm Upper Bushing

Fitment

Jeep Cherokee: 1984-1994 Base; 1991-1992 Briarwood; 1985-1988 Chief; 1996-2001 Classic; 1993-1997 Country; 1985-1992 Laredo; 1987-2001 Limited; 1985-1990 Pioneer; 1994-2001 SE; 1989-2001 Sport

Jeep Grand Cherokee: 1998 5.9 Limited; 1993 Base; 1993-2004 Laredo, SE, Limited; 1995-1997 Orvis; 2002-2004 Overland; 2004 Special Edition; 2002 Sport; 1997-1998 TSi

Jeep Wrangler: 2001 60 Aniversario; 1997 Base; 2003-2006 Rubicon; 1997-2004 Sahara; 1997-2006 SE, Sport; 2004-2006 Unlimited; 2005-2006 Unlimited Rubicon; 2002-2006 X; 2006 X 65 Aniversario, 65th Anniversary Edition; 2003 X AT

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.
