The strut bar (also called a strut rod or tension rod) locates the lower arm front to rear, and these bushings mount it. It is aimed at street driving and the occasional track day or autocross.

Bushings wear with age, heat and mileage. On a Nissan 240SX, a tired strut bar to chassis mount bushing set often shows up as clunks over bumps, a vague feel or movement under braking, and replacing it is an affordable way to bring back a predictable feel.

Key features

Front-position strut bar to chassis mount bushing kit

SuperPro describes these bushings as a quieter, longer-lasting alternative to rubber

Listed for 8 year and trim combinations, summarized below

Fitment

1990-1996 INFINITI Q45 (A, T)

1992-1995 Mazda 929

1989-1998 Nissan 240SX (LE, SE, XE)

1990-1996 Nissan 300ZX (2+2, Turbo)

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

Pressed-in bushings may need a press to install, so plan on having a shop fit them if you do not have one.
