The bushings in a control arm carry braking, cornering and bump loads into the body, so their condition shows up directly in how the car steers and stops. Daily drivers and family cars benefit most, especially once the factory parts have some miles on them.

If you are already doing other suspension work, it is often worth doing the bushings at the same time, since much of the disassembly overlaps. Clunks over bumps, a car that wanders under braking, or uneven tire wear are all common signs that bushings are worn out.

Key features

Front-mounted application

Fitment

Subaru B9 Tribeca: 2006-2007

Subaru Crosstrek: 2016-2017

Subaru Forester: 2009-2018

Subaru Impreza: 2008-2014

Subaru Legacy: 2005-2009

Subaru Outback: 2005-2009

Subaru Tribeca: 2008-2014

Subaru XV Crosstrek: 2013-2015

Years are grouped by model here; the manufacturer lists specific trims within each range, so match your exact trim before ordering.

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

Expect to need a press, or a shop with one, to fit pressed-in bushings.
