Every control arm pivots on its bushings, so their condition shows up in steering feel, braking stability and noise. It suits owners using the car for everyday street driving, and it is a natural fit for a refresh or restoration of an older car.

Bushings wear with age, heat and mileage. On a Subaru Brat, a tired control arm lower-inner bushing set often shows up as clunks over bumps, a vague feel or movement under braking, and replacing it is an affordable way to bring back a predictable feel.

Key features

Front-position control arm lower-inner bushing kit

Listed for 14 year and trim combinations, summarized below

Fitment

1978-1987 Subaru Brat (DL, GL, GL Turbo)

1985-1989 Subaru DL

1985-1989 Subaru GL (Turbo)

1985-1989 Subaru GL-10 (Turbo)

1990-1994 Subaru Loyale (RS, RS Turbo, Turbo)

1985-1989 Subaru RX (Turbo)

1985-1991 Subaru XT (DL, GL, GL-10, GL-10 Turbo, XT6)

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

Pressed-in bushings may need a press to install, so plan on having a shop fit them if you do not have one.
