This SuperPro pair replaces the forward subframe mount bushings, a good upgrade for an E36 used on the street, at autocross or on track.

Replacing old mount bushings is a common fix for driveline thumps, wheel hop and a loose feeling at the rear of a car. It is also a good time to inspect nearby bushings, since they tend to wear at a similar rate.

Mount bushings hold heavy assemblies such as the differential, subframe or strut top to the body. As they age they allow the assembly to shift under power and braking, which shows up as clunks, vibration and a less precise feel from the driveline and suspension.

Key features

Rear subframe forward mount position

Sold as a pair (2 pieces)

Part number SPF4388K

Fitment

BMW E36

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

Removing the old bushings and pressing in the new ones usually calls for a press, so some owners have a shop handle that step.
