Ride height changes, worn joints and heavy use all move suspension geometry away from where it should be. A replacement or upgraded arm gives a fresh, solid mounting for the wheel so the alignment can be set and held where you want it. The suspension arm is what keeps the wheel in its intended position as the suspension moves up and down. Swapping a worn or bent arm for a fresh assembly restores that control and is often the step that lets an alignment shop get the numbers back in spec. It suits daily drivers that need a suspension refresh as well as owners who want a tighter feel on back roads.

Key features

Front lower control arm set

Supplied with bushings installed

Covers 2.5i, 2.0XT and other listed Forester trims

Manufacturer part number TRC1040

Fitment

2014-2018 Subaru Forester 2.5i, 2.0XT Touring, XT, 2.0XT Premium, 2.5i Touring, 2.0XT Limited, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 2.5i Convenience

2018 Subaru Forester Touring, Premium, Limited

2014-2017 Subaru Forester X, XSL, XS

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

Book a wheel alignment once the arms are fitted, since suspension geometry will have changed.

https://lowerhq.com/products/superpro-2014-subaru-forester-2-5i-touring-front-lower-control-arm-set-w-bushings-trc1040
