As the spring compresses it gets longer, and the rear eye pivots to let that happen. A worn bushing here causes squeaks and clunks, especially with a load in the bed. It suits trucks that tow, haul or see off-road use.

Factory rubber bushings soften, crack and tear with age, heat and road grime, and each one that goes lets a suspension part move a little further than the engineers intended. Bushing wear builds slowly, so many owners only notice once fresh leaf spring bushings are in and the F-150 feels tight again. Clunks over speed bumps, a vague on-center feel and uneven tire wear are the usual signs that bushings are worn out.

Key features

SuperPro part number SPF5788K

Rear leaf spring, rear eye position

Fitment

2009-2014 Ford F-150 FX4

Check your year, trim and drivetrain against the list above before ordering.

Install notes

On the F-150, expect to need a press, or a trip to a shop, where the leaf spring bushings press into place.

https://lowerhq.com/products/superpro-2009-2014-ford-f-150-fx4-rear-leaf-spring-rear-eye-bushing-kit-spf5788k
