This version is listed for FWD models.

How this kit is set up for the 2007-2015 Volkswagen Bora

Expect true coilovers at the front and a divorced rear, where the spring and damper sit in separate locations as they do from the factory. Damper bodies are 52mm front and 46mm rear. It comes with 8 kg/mm (about 448 lb/in) springs up front and 5 kg/mm (about 280 lb/in) at the rear. Damping is 1-way: a single knob with 32 settings changes rebound and compression together, which keeps tuning quick.

Key features

Monotube damper design for better heat control and fewer leaks

32 damping settings on a single knob that sets rebound and compression together

Zinc-plated shock bodies for rust protection

Cold-wound SAE9254 spring steel

NOK seals and Italian IP damping oil

Built-in dust boots and bump stops

Bolt-on install with no modifications, unless the notes below say otherwise

Ride height lowers roughly 1 to 2.5 inches below stock (SF Racing's figure) without giving up suspension travel

Separate lower-mount (length) adjustment, so height changes don't preload the spring

Anodized T6-6061 aluminum top mounts, spring perches and collars for corrosion resistance

Who it suits

A good fit if the car is driven on the street most of the time and you want a lower stance with better body control.

Specifications

Part number

SF-VW05-03-SP

Vehicle

2007-2015 Volkswagen Bora

Drivetrain

FWD

Damper model

Sport Series

Damping

1-Way: Rebound and Compression

Damper size (front / rear)

52mm diameter / 46mm diameter

Spring rate (front / rear)

8 kg/mm / 5 kg/mm

Design (front / rear)

True Coilover / Divorced (Separate shock and spring)

Top mounts (front)

Not Applicable

Top mounts (rear)

Not Applicable

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0964/8295/1469/files/sf-racing-sport-coilovers-for-2007-2015-volkswagen-bora-fwd-sf-vw05-03-sp-1194301954.jpg?v=1792165188
